CINNAMON BUNS
Time in total: 90 minutes Makes: 20 cinnamon buns
INGREDIENTS NEEDED:
- 5 ripe bananas
- 7-8 medjool dates
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Dough:
- 2 cups lukewarm water
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2.5 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 ripe banana pureed
- ½ package yeast
INSTRUCTIONS:
Start by getting the rolled oats added in a food processor or blender and blend the oats well.
Add the oat flour, water, yeast and a banana puree in a bowl and stir until the yeast dissolves.
Let it stand for 5 minutes.
Add the wholewheat flour in small amounts at a time and knead well so the dough does not stick to your hands anymore.
Let the dough rise for about 1 hour.
Roll the dough thin and rectangular – about 0.2 inches thick.
Add dates, 5 bananas, cinnamon and lemon juice in food processor and blend until the consistency is uniform.
Spread cream on the batter thick and roll the dough.
Cut cinnamon buns about 0.6-0.8 inches wide.
Bake the buns for 15 minutes in a oven at 360*F.
